Hi, I'm Robby Barbaro

I know firsthand what it’s like to live with diabetes. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as a teenager, and for years I struggled with the confusion, restrictions, and challenges that came with managing my blood sugar.

Everything changed when I discovered the power of a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle. The results were life-changing: I gained better blood sugar control, improved my insulin sensitivity, and felt more energy and freedom than I ever imagined possible. That transformation lit a fire in me—I knew I couldn’t keep this knowledge to myself. I had to share it with others.

Today, I’m the co-founder and CEO of Mastering Diabetes, where I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of people around the world lower their A1c, reduce or eliminate medications, and finally feel confident enjoying the foods they love. My mission is simple: to make sure people living with diabetes feel seen, supported, and empowered.

I’ve walked this path myself. I know the struggles. And I’m here to help you succeed—because thriving with diabetes is absolutely possible.
